Activist Shareholder Peltz Raises Stake In Cadbury Schweppes Amidst Bidding For U.S. Beverage Unit

Activist shareholder Nelson Peltz has increased his stake in Cadbury Schweppes to more than 3 percent, as bidding for the company's beverage division heats up, according to confectionerynew.com. Cadbury said in a regulatory announcement that Peltz now holds just under 73 million shares, or 3.47 per cent, an increase from the 2.98 per cent stake he originally purchased in March.
