Masterfoods USA Introduces New Healthier Products In Vend Channel

Generation Max Snicker Clusters
Generation Max 3Muskeeters Brownie
Generation Max Combos Crackers
Generation Max M&M's Cookies

Masterfoods USA, makers of powerhouse brands including M&M'S®, Snickers®, Starburst®, Skittles® and Twix®, introduced its newest products for more than 4,000 attendees of the National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) Spring Expo at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. The company is launching a new line of GENERATION MAX(TM) healthier snack choices that build in the student appeal of world-famous brands like M&M'S®, SNICKERS®, TWIX®, 3 MUSKETEERS® and COMBOS® to provide schools nationwide with vending options that meet the new more stringent nutritional guidelines.

The new GENERATION MAX(TM) cereal clusters, cookies, brownie bars, crackers and pretzel products, all 150 calories or less per serving, have the great taste of the well-known Mars snack food brands and contain less than 35 percent of calories from fat, 10 percent of calories from saturated fat, and 35 percent by weight of sugar per serving and have additional nutrients to help students meet the recommended Daily Values for a balanced diet. All of the products satisfy the 35:10:35 nutritional guidelines for nutrient content and portion size for competitive foods sold to all students.

The new GENERATION MAX(TM) line consists of 10 products: SNICKERS® Cookies, SNICKERS® Cereal Clusters, M&M'S® Cookies, TWIX® Cereal Clusters, 3 MUSKETEERS® Chocolate Brownie Bars, 3 MUSKETEERS® S'Mores Brownie Bars, 3 MUSKETEERS® Chocolate Strawberry Brownie Bars, COMBOS® Pizza Crackers, COMBOS® Hot 'n Spicy Crackers and COMBOS® Ranch Pretzels.

Additional new products that will be featured in Booth 831 include:

M&M'S® Dark Chocolate Candies: Based on strong consumer interest and the resounding success of the M&M'S® "Go to the Dark Side" Star Wars promotion featuring dark chocolate candies, the M&M'S® Brand reintroduced dark chocolate candies on a permanent basis.

M&M'S® Dark Chocolate Peanut Candies: In June, dark chocolate fans will go nuts when the M&M'S® Brand adds this all-star to its line-up. These candies have a peanut and dark chocolate center, and the word "dark" is printed underneath the "m" on each piece of dark chocolate candy.

SNICKERS® Dark: America's number one candy bar is now available in a new variety to appeal to chocolate lovers hungry for dark chocolate satisfaction. SNICKERS® Dark offers everything consumers love about SNICKERS® brand -- from the peanut crunch to the chewy, creamy caramel -- now surrounded by rich dark chocolate.

Twix cereal clusters
I tried the Snickers and Twix clusters and the flavor is very appealing. I have to say that they were extremely hard and if it were not for this, would be a perfect product.

Twix cereal clusters
I tried Twix Cereal Clusters today. The taste was great and the calorie content fine. But they are TOO hard. I honestly thought I might crack a tooth. Because of this, I will not buy this product again. I hope you will modify it.
